What To Expect

Before Your Visit

Rabies Vaccine

We want to make sure pets and people stays safe and follow local laws , which means having a current rabies vaccine. Don’t worry if you don’t have records, the vaccine has expired, or your pet hasn’t been vaccinated yet—we can take care of it during your visit, as long as your pet is feeling well. If your pet isn’t feeling their best, we’ll wait to give the vaccine until they’re healthy, but we can still provide other care during the visit.

Medical and Vaccine History

If your pet has vaccine records or medical history, please have the relevant documents ready. If your pet is taking medication, please know the medication type, strength, and dosing. This information is needed for completing intake forms.

Our veterinarian and team need adequate time to review the records in order to provide the best care. By providing our team with complete records before your visit, you will reduce your wait time, have more time with our doctor, and prevent repeat procedures.

Ways to send previous records:

  • Email: yourfriends@nvsav.com

  • Text a pic: 912.775.WELL

  • Drop Off a copy to the clinic

  • Have your previous vet email us

    * Record release may take several days. Some hospitals require owner written consent to release records. Owners are responsible for acquiring previous records.

If your pet does not have previous records no worries. We are happy to be your pet’s first veterinarian.

If you can not obtain records, please understand we may not be able to offer your pet complete care and services or some procedures/tests/vaccines may need to be repeated.

Client and Patient Forms

As a medical provider and to establish the veterinary-client-patient-relationship, we need you and your pet’s information prior to your visit. Please allow 15-20 minutes to accurately complete the forms. Until our pets can talk, you are their voice. Once we have your information and reason for visit, we can set a time for the visit or give you a wait time.
