Meet Sophie

Hi, I’m Sophie!

Since I was little, I always wanted to work with animals. I grew up with two dogs, Mocha and Benny, and now my home is the designated dog hotel for my neighbors. During college I considered a few different career paths, but I used to avoid veterinary medicine. I was worried I would only see animals when they were sick. Thankfully, I learned that’s not what veterinary medicine is always about and I love working in preventative care.

In 2025, I graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Georgia Southern University. At the time, I was interning with Savannah Wildlife Rescue. I helped raise and care for many different native mammals - raccoons, possums, squirrels, deer, fox - just to name a few. That experience convinced me to consider working in veterinary medicine. Neighborhood Vet is the first clinic I have worked in. I am excited to continue learning and growing to make sure I can help provide the best care for our patients.

A fun fact most people don’t know about you: When I was little, there were a few years I took horseback riding lessons.
