USA Travel Certificates

  • Requirements

Each state, transport agency, park, accommodations and airline will have different requirements for your pet. Usually at a minimum, dogs and cats need to be current on the Rabies Vaccine if over 16 weeks of age and deemed healthy for travel and free of diseases by a licensed veterinarian.

Planning and researching are critical steps in traveling with your pet. Please contact your airline, travel agency, and/or destination state months in advance to determine specific requirements. Don’t forget state parks, camp sites, and hotel regulations.

Our team will need any vaccine history and the requirements needed prior to your visit. Due to the extent of travel requirements, we are only able to issue domestic USA certificates for the continental states.

Our veterinarian can issue a Health Statement and Climate Acclimation after examining your pet and performing any required vaccines and testing. The goal is to make sure your dog or cat is healthy enough to travel and free from diseases that can spread to other animals and people. The Health document will also list current vaccinations, microchip information, and current testing.

Official USDA Veterinary Inspection Certificates are usually required for travel. Dr. Kinsey is USDA accredited and can issue this official federal document for domestic continental states. An additional endorsement by a federal agent may be needed for certain states.
